WHY SUMMER CAMP PHOTOGRAPHY?

My goal is to genuinely document the joy, connection, and everyday magic that is summer camp!
Through natural, candid photography, it will feel like you're seeing camp through the eyes of the children. Parents will cherish the opportunity to witness moments that helped to shape their kids unforgettable summers. The genuine smiles, the friendships both new and old, the laughter.
Investment begins at $400 for 2 hours of coverage. Camps will have access to utilize these images for marketing and social media purposes as they see fit! This will be a great way to showcase the true joys of your facility and show future families exactly what it's like.
So, how does it work?
I take care of everything! I provide all equipment and personnel needed for the day (which will be me, my camera, and possibly an assistant, that's it).
I will email the parents a PDF that will include a little about me, what to expect, my email for communication purposes, pricing information, sample photos, etc.
I will also handle all questions from parents regarding ordering digitals and prints.
My goal is to provide families with beautiful, authentic memories of their child’s summer beyond the quick drop-off snapshot.
All families will receive an email with a password protected link within two weeks of picture day. The images will be watermarked and available to every parent to view (this is something I want to be sure parents are aware of). They can scroll through the gallery of images to find ones of/including their child/children. They will then have the opportunity to purchase high res digital copies and/or professional prints and products.
Parents will be able to take their time choosing which photos/package they want AFTER viewing the photos. There is no pressure for any family to purchase anything.
My time will be spent taking mostly candid photos (both individual and group), but I am also happy to offer portraits of the children as well (though this will be completely optional per child). At each facility, I will determine the perfect location to set up for portraits based on light and space. Then, with the help of my assistant and some counselors, we can ask the children to come by the "photo spot" for a quick portrait. I will spend approximately 15-20 minutes on portraits and the rest on the magic of camp!

Why camp photography?
For families: Summer camp is filled with fleeting moments parents rarely get to witness themselves — friendships, confidence, independence, joy, and everyday childhood memories. My goal is to preserve those moments thoughtfully and authentically. These photos will vary greatly from school and sports photos. These images are designed to showcase children exactly as they are, highlighting their unique personalities throughout the camp experience.
For camps: Camps receive a full digital gallery of images to use throughout their websites and social media. These photos can help to bring in new families year after year!
Is there an up front cost for camps?
Yes - Summer Camp Story sessions are available for $400. This covers a 2 hour window of shooting and includes access to the entire gallery of photos for the usage by camp.
How do we prepare?
I would need the email of every parent who would like to receive the link to photos. I can also create a QR code that will go directly to the digital gallery of images. Using the QR code, I will create a physical sign to hang at camp where parents can scan if emails aren't obtainable!
How long is the photoshoot?
It will be up to two hours of time. We will discuss a date that works best for your camp.
What is the weather is not going to be ideal?
If it is calling for rain, we will absolutely reschedule. Alternatively, if it extremely hot, we can consider moving the date as well. Especially if the majority of the camp is outdoors.
How much money can we expect parents to spend on photos?
Parents can spend a little as $25 for one individual digital image, and $5 for a 4x6 print. There are plenty of package options for both digitals and prints. They can be found below in the section labeled pricing. This will be included in the info provided to parents prior to photo day.
How disruptive is photography during the camp day?
My approach is designed to be low-interruption. I will interact with the children, but generally be stepping back. The only part of our time together that is structured will be the option for individual portraits. Though the kids are more than welcome to opt out of this!
Can the camp use the images for marketing?
Yes — camps receive permission to use their selected images for website, social media, and promotional purposes.
Do you provide parent communication materials?
Yes! I can provide a simple informational PDF/email for families explaining the process before photo day.
Are parent permissions required?
Camps should follow their standard media release policies. I’m happy to coordinate with your existing procedures.
Will some children be in more photos than others?
Inevitably - yes. Because Summer Camp Stories are documented in a candid, documentary style, some children may naturally appear in more images than others depending on their activities and moments throughout the day. The focus is on capturing authentic memories rather than a set number of photos per child.

Pricing Guide
All orders can be done right through the gallery and come from a professional print shop. Prints will get mailed directly to the families and payment is done via website as well.
